Free guide. Running Reteno workflows requires a connected Reteno account. Other requirements depend on your assistant and chosen skill.

What a skill is

A skill packages reusable instructions, references and sometimes scripts for a recurring task, to help an agent follow a consistent process. Results still depend on the model, your inputs, the tools you connect and your review.

What Reteno customers hand off

Three jobs Reteno customers already delegate to an agent, each with a prompt you can copy and adapt.

Workflow 1 · Skill workflow

Translate emails and add language versions

The pain

Every new language means translating subjects, preheaders, body copy and buttons, then checking that links and formatting still work.

The workflow

You provide the source templates, target languages and localization guidelines. The agent adds a language version to each template, keeps the original structure and links, and checks the saved templates.

You get

Localized versions saved in Reteno.
Example prompt

Add German and French versions to email . Keep English unchanged. Follow . Translate the subject, preheader and visible copy. Preserve links, personalization variables and layout. Verify the saved versions and summarize the changes.

Common customer usageReported by Reteno as a common way customers use the agent. Not a measured result.
One of the most common ways Reteno customers use the agent. A published Reteno case documents 21 new language variants across three templates; adding eight language versions to one template and verifying the result took 3 minutes 8 seconds in that run. Read the case →

Workflow 2 · Agent workflow

Create an email from an existing reference and brand kit

The pain

A new email has to match an existing design and the brand, which usually means rebuilding layout, colors and copy by hand.

The workflow

You point the agent to a reference email and your brand kit. Reteno Agent drafts a new template that follows the reference structure and brand rules, and the team reviews it before use.

You get

A draft template for review.

Try this task through Reteno Agent using the example prompt below.

Example prompt

Create an email based on using . Save it as a new draft, leave the reference unchanged, and do not send anything.

Customer requestBased on an actual customer request, anonymized. Shows what was asked, not a guaranteed result.
Adapted from an actual customer request, with identifying details replaced by placeholders. This is a Reteno Agent workflow; the public email-editing skill alone edits existing templates and does not generate new branded designs.

Workflow 3 · Skill workflow

Review email and workflow performance

The pain

Pulling numbers for single sends, broadcasts and workflow emails into one weekly view takes manual exports and spreadsheet work.

The workflow

You set the date range and the level of detail. The agent reads Reteno messaging analytics, builds the report and exports a CSV for the team.

You get

A weekly summary and a CSV export.
Example prompt

Build an email performance report for covering broadcasts and workflow emails. Include these metrics per message: . Export the result as a CSV with one row per message. Add a short summary of the top and bottom performers and flag any field you couldn't retrieve.

Replace the bracketed fields before running.

Customer-reported usageReported customer usage, shown with an adapted example request. No completed export is claimed.
Customer-reported usage. The example is adapted from a customer's reporting request covering individual sends, broadcasts and workflow emails; it shows what was asked, not a completed export or guaranteed level of detail.

How to try one this week

  1. 1

Check the publisher’s supported environments, dependencies and installation instructions. Skill format reference: agentskills.io.

  2. 2

Install one skill for one job. Start with the job you repeat most.

  3. 3

Connect the data it needs. A skill is instructions; reading your numbers also takes a connector to the tool that holds them.

  4. 4

Read the skill before you install it. Open its SKILL.md, or ask someone technical to, before adding one from a publisher you don't know.

  5. 5

Test it on a job where you know the right answer. If the output is wrong, check the inputs, connected data and instructions, then rerun a small example.
